Introducing Abyot: AI-Powered Learning for Africa
We're building the future of education technology — starting from Addis Ababa and designed for the world.
Today, we’re excited to introduce Abyot — an AI-powered learning management system built from the ground up for K-12 and Higher Education institutions across Africa.
Why Abyot?
The word “Abyot” means “revolution” in Amharic. We chose this name because we believe education technology in Africa needs a fundamental rethink, not just a localization of Western tools.
Teachers spend weeks building course materials. Students struggle with one-size-fits-all content. Institutions juggle multiple disconnected tools. We’re changing all of that.
What Makes Us Different
AI-First Course Creation — Describe your topic, and our AI generates complete course outlines with modules, lessons, and assessments. What used to take weeks now takes minutes.
Adaptive Learning — Our AI Study Buddy meets students where they are, simplifying complex concepts or diving deeper based on individual needs.
Built for Context — We don’t just translate interfaces. We build with African education systems, bandwidth constraints, and local curricula in mind.
What’s Next
We’re currently in early access, working closely with schools in Ethiopia. If you’re an educator or institution interested in joining our pilot program, get in touch.
The revolution starts here.
